Imperial Update/Special bonus for forum readers - 2005/02/17 08:18
Greetings Unto the Soon-To-Be-Smashed-Beneath-the-Iron-Fist-of-ME Populace,
First of all, I apologize for my lack of attendance (and fairly brief attendance in IMD) this weekend- aside from being sick as the proverbial dog, there was a slight- ahem- emergency of the gory-ucky kind, and my weekend went all to heck. Which REMINDS me...
Speaking of weekends gone all to heck- don't forget the first major confrontation between Good and Evil February 27th in the Northern Holdfast. It will be... just... uh... interesting. And that's all you're getting outta me... tortur... er, talk to Dan TM and Grendel for info.
This Saturday, as previously reported, will be the IMD's Crown Quals and Champ Tourney at 1:00pm at Washington Park. Come swing some foam and stare at half-clad joggers!
Or attend the NH's armor workshop this Saturday and help the IM topple the EH from their "We're the best-armored kingdom" pedestal. (See the NH forums on the NEW and AMAZING Iron Mountains website for info... www.ironmountains.org).
Oh, did I forget to mention that? Not long ago, on Radio Free Amtgard (http://www.redhawkradio.net/, Tuesdays from 6pm - 8pm Colorado time), our dear friend Forest had the bal... the guts to say that the Emerald Hills stands alone as the most well-armored kingdom in Amtgard... a position that the IM had held claim to once upon a time. We would like to challenge all of you to bring out your best armor this Rakis and prove him wrong. After all, this is the Iron Mountains, and we shall tolerate no rivals! So drag out that dusty brig, shine up that dull chainmail, or finish that spiffy new plate and do us proud!
February 19th will be the IMD's coronation... see Duke Camilla for details; it is important that you either be at the park or give a FIRM RSVP if you would like to attend.
Also, coming up faster than you might think... don't forget Imperial Weaponmaster/Dragonmaster on March 12th in IMD, tourney at Washington Park and Dragonmaster in the Mason's Lodge. We will also be having the first Town Hall meeting of the reign as well as the sit-down portion of the Althing (and yes, it will be indoors).
Last, but never least... watch for an announcement soon about the super-secret (well, kinda secret) upcoming Midreign Theme! Start putting on your creative caps, you're going to need them...
