In addition to what Z just said punch weapons are not categoricly illegal any longer, as show to us at SW5 by kord (I believe at the time the IGMR) when we first saw Folc's Strap Madu.
Nothing in the rulebook states anything of the sort. However comon sense should apply when dealing with them on a case by case basis just as Z mentions above.
We've had a couple pairs of daggers made here in RE that are perfectly safe, as safe as any daggers, and yeah I'd rather be full on punched with them then loptrs polearm anyday of the week.
