A couple of final notes regarding Rakis this year:
Smoking: Smoking is allowed on site, but in designated areas only. This is a change from a couple of years ago, when people were only allowed to smoke within an enclosed vehicle. Please be considerate and only do so in the designated zones, as there is an extremely hefty penalty if fresh cigarette butts are found lying around the site.
Fires: Fires are allowed in pre-designated fire pits only. While at this point, there is no fire ban anticipated, there is a significant forest fire concern given the proximity of trees to the camping area. Unauthorized fires also have a hefty fine (one which we unfortunately got stuck paing last year), so please only have fires in the pre-set fire pits.
Parking: The park is open for public use while we are there, and patrons do visit the “Bark Park” throughout the weekend. Please do not park in any area that is designated as Bark Park parking. This is one of the biggest complaints we have had, and could result in us losing the site if people do not comply, so please avoid parking in this area.
RVs: If people are bringing RVs to the site, they need to contact the site owners to make arrangements. There is also a $22/day electricity hook-up fee for all campers. The site manager (Katrina) can be contacted at 303-838-3705 if you need to make these arrangements.
