An update on Rivermoor - 2008/06/03 01:20
In keeping with Zumat’s policy of transparency, here’s an update on what’s going on in Rivermoor.
Rivermoor is a Principality under the Iron Mountains and is comprised of the Duchy of Querna Tema (Omaha, NE), Barony of Ivory Tower (Lincoln, NE), and Shire of Gehenna Plains (Sioux City, IA).

We have applied for and received out Federal Tax ID. For security, it will not be listed here. Documentation is available upon request.
Our first BOD meeting was held this past Sunday, June 1, 2008. Officers (see above) were elected and a resolution was passed to open a bank account for Amtgard-Chapter of Rivermoor utilizing Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. The next meeting was scheduled for June 28th to begin our non-profit paperwork.
The corpora committee has been established and had its first meeting at Rivermoor’s Coronation on March 22, 2008. Each member was given the directive to take the current IM corpora and determine items that felt needed to be modified to fit the populace of Rivermoor. The committee will be reconvening on June 7th to write a first draft that should be ready for presentation to the Great and Terrible Mozz at Rakis this year.
State of the treasury:
All parks are current on their taxes in a total amount of $104.
WM/DM netted a profit of $30. ($60 collected - $30 to rent the picnic area)
Our first fundraiser at WM/DM brought in $170.
This gives the treasury of Rivermoor a current balance of $304.00.

Our heraldry can be found on the home page of the above link, and symbolizes the river that connects our parks with a crown for each of the founding parks.
Our web site is under construction and hopefully will be operational soon.
Upcoming events: Midreign will be June 28th. I know this is very close after Rakis, and don’t expect visiting dignitaries, but I will take this opportunity to Talk up Summer Trials which is hosted by our Duchy of Querna Tema. It will take place on Sept. 5-7 at Arrowhead State Park. We had quite a few from the IM last year, and we would love to see you again!
I now return you to your frantic (or maybe not so frantic) preparations for Rakis. I’ll see you there!
