maufactured padded weapons - 2006/03/14 07:55 have you seen the latex padded weapons at bythesword.com? the padding is thick enough for amt gard legalidy, but they have points. the pictures look like real swords though. they do a fantastic job with the paint. they have sheilds, swords, axes, maces and daggers. they use fiberglass shafts. a long sword is like 70 bucks. if ppl would buy some i would be down to fight with them of to the side at the field. check em' out they are really cool.

Re:maufactured padded weapons - 2006/03/14 09:23 I've got some painted weapons that Stilicho made and used to sell, they
aren't amtgard legal, the game they were made for is a shot pulling 'touch'
game, so they look really legal but you're supposed to just lightly tap each
other, though the paint makes it nice and stingy when you hit Arthur with
one full swing.. not sure if those swords are the same thing, I'll show you
the ones I have that Stilicho made..

Re:maufactured padded weapons - 2006/03/14 09:57 there was a short timeframe in which IFGS used those blades as well. they did NOT hold up under stress worth shit. and ifgs's combat system is ten times lighter than our own. considering the price tag and the lifespan of the swords, they quickly disappeared from the games.
