If I cast Defend with Pro Magic I couldn't cast Flying afterwards. And since flying says you can only cast verbals while flying I'm pretty sure I couldn't cast an enchantment while flying.

how about this combo for druid?
get pro-projectiles cast on you from a wizard use commune, cast some spells, jump back into commune. (this was especially effective when I was playing bard and bought commune for a magic classes versus non magic game)
Protection from Projectiles (E, Protection) C: Wizard 3 M: Enchantment cloth I: Repeat x10 'Protection from projectiles,' tie cloth on person or object. E: Protects from all non-magic projectiles. L: Ineffective against magic balls, the Dagger of Infinite Penetration, and weapons bearing Magical Projectile. N: Will stop Siege Weapons that are projectiles.
Commune (S, Sorcery) C: Druid 4 M: Tree I: Touch tree with free hand, repeat x5 'Commune,' sit down with back touching tree. R: Self E: Caster may not harm others. Others within 20 feet may not harm or take hostile actions towards the caster. L: Must be chanting 'Commune,' keep back touching tree, and cannot be holding a weapon or game item or the magic is broken. Cannot be closer than 20 feet to a base or flag when Commune is started. There is a lot that can be done with the magic that is left. No matter what spells change in cost or maxs or spell balls get stripped of their power, I will find the fun in yelling at people pretending to be something for fun.

Krell, what are you asking? It's kinda unclear if you just post monk, pro projectile stack pro magic.
you want to know how to kill a monk with pro magic and pro projectile? shoot him in the chest with a magical projectile. hit him with a sword until he dies. dispell him and fireball dispell him and call lightning dispell him and regular arrow to the chest dipsell him and ... etc..

however, this really only means the monk gets one free kill. my counter is to give him his kill and then mosh the shit out of him after he's blown the sanctuary. at that point you've just traded one of your players for: one of thiers, the monks only touch of death, a 6th lvl 1/game spell, a a 4th lvl 1/game spell, and a 3rd level 1/game spell.
the problem with the combo is that it doesn't give the monk any survivability AFTER they get thier one special trick off.
additionally, as grendel listed, there are a number of ways through it. my personal fav being the shoot him with magic projectile which specifically ignores pro proj. and pro magic doesn't effect (see previous thread where this is discussed to death)
failing that, shoot him in the feet. make him jump. even in sanctuary and with pro-proj people will still react as they normally would. whcih means dodging and otherwise avoiding arrows that fly at them. if he jumps he breaks sanctuary.
even more fun... put the kill he wants out in front of him. dangle them right there. then, when they start coming in for hte kill let the monk get within bout 10 feet and have hte target haul ass away. there's a chance the monk will run after him. running breaks sanctuary as well.
making monks inadvertantly break thier sanctuary makes me giggle.
and of course all the dispell fun. the only down side of that is it puts your caster within 20 ft of the monk... chances are they'll try for the ToD at that point."But right now I'm a little concerned about my pants, since I don't know where they are." - Valathina Nailo

I'm talking about the Cost/Max changes that have crippled Magic in 7.? vs 6.0
Finger of Death was 1/4 now it's 2/2
In fact alot of my spells that I used to use on a regular basis went up in cost n down in Max. Along with some odd immunities being given to classes that doesn't realy make sense. Barbarians should be the only ones naturaly immune to subdual.Pass with out trace Pass with out Tra..........eghh
