question on credit - 2006/01/02 08:53 so in the rules it says if someone doesn't wear garb but wants to fight
they may play peasant (weapons are short, dagger, 4 lives)
and the rules state they may take credit in peasant but gain no levels
(like color or reeve)

my question is this,

sometimes we have folks who might show up and
not fight, that person could take color, or reeve if they reeved,

if someone shows up and fights in the battlegame without garb & plays
peasant,
they should be taking credit in peasant,
but could they choose to take credit in color instead?

(or do they have to take peasant if they fought in the battlegame as
peasant)

edited to make question more clear.

Re:question on credit - 2006/01/02 18:25 the rules don't say you must take credit in the class you played. rahter they say "You must play the class you wish to gain credit in." (credits and levels)

so, since there are no requirements for color other than showing up...
"Color - Garb is encouraged. It is not a class, yet includes everyone else who wishes to participate in the mood and ambiance of Amtgard."

then pretty much anyone can take credit as color at any time. so i'd say its a personal choice on the part of hte participant. sicne the peasant "class" is fairly new to amtgard, i think we'll see a lot of folks choosing color for quite a while til peasant takes hold.
