Re:Shire of Niflheim - 2011/12/08 19:53 I thought that state lines and distances where the deciding factor, at kingdom level, which principality you would be allowed to petition?

Re:Shire of Niflheim - 2011/12/08 20:08 I think because we are so far away from either one... one Rivermoor is Omaha, Nebraska and Olympus is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa both are right at about 640 miles away. but Rivermoor (lands End) is only 100 miles away. which is a park we fight with alot... nearest olympus park is 350+ miles away..
Both Rivermoor (Lands End) and Olympus have Parks in Minnesota... So that is why we decided it by Althing. Hope that helps..

Re:Shire of Niflheim - 2011/12/08 20:32 It is main based out of Grand Forks... 160 miles away... but has "shires" play areas in both Crookston MN, 100 miles away, and Bemidji MN, 120 miles away. We are a pretty unpopulated area up here... this is not a Major Metro area... closest Major city is Minneapolis St. Paul... 375+ miles away.. Just a question for you... Why the intrest in Little old Niflhiem??? just curious is all.

Re:Shire of Niflheim - 2011/12/08 20:41 I am the GMR of the principality of olympus, and this is the first I am hearing of your interest in the principality. We have a strong supportive force in minneapolis area, and would have loved to have you in the principality since you are within day tripping diatances. Just seemed that having the majority of the principality in the same state would make more sense then 2 states away.

Re:Shire of Niflheim - 2011/12/08 20:58 Hail and Well met. I am the Prime Minister of Niflhiem.. When we applied for shire status under IM we were not told that we had to list under a certain Principality... we had initialy applied for Rivermoor.. after talking to Broton at The Curse of the Great Pumpkin this year, and to Yukimora it was decided to have a althing to let our shire decide where and to whom it was going... like I said ... 10-6 .. it was close.. but we do have many more people we know from Rivermoor... But i believe it is in the Copora that the joining shire gets to decide who or what they join... no offense intended to you.. just that we are now almost at the very end of a Long process, with our goal in sight.
