Shire of Eoria - Boulder CO - 2011/08/29 17:40 Dear Iron Mountains, and to whom it may concern,

My name is Xeno, and I come representing the Shire of Eoria, a newly formed shire in Boulder CO. I seek only to make our presence known in the community, as well as to request permission into your empire. As I understand it, the principality of Stormkeep made their home here until 2005, when it disbanded for reasons unknown to me. With a small group of college students, I have begun to rebuild it. We meet Saturdays, from 1-5, at Scott Carpenter Park, an have been fielding about 10-15 people, with our current high at 20. Our forum can be found here:

I'm hoping to get some information on getting a page in the ORK, so that I can begin keeping more permanent records, and also wish to become a sanctioned chapter of Amtgard.

Re:Shire of Eoria - Boulder CO - 2011/08/29 23:27 Welcome. I've taken a quick look through your forums and am happy to see the amount of energy that's been put into forming this group.

I saw your suggested Megalodon class. I assume you're the Xeno from southern California?

I look forward to visiting your park in the near future, but the fact that you play at the same time as the Crown Lands means that it's not likely myself or others from the Denver group will make it up to play with you very often. You might be able to pull some of the members down from the Ft. Collins group, however. 2 weeks from now are the Imperial Dragon Master and Weapon Master tournaments in Denver. It would be cool if you guys wanted to come down for the day.

Re:Shire of Eoria - Boulder CO - 2011/08/30 17:17 Hah! I didn't know the Megaldon had traveled so far, but yes, the one and the same. Thank you for your help in getting things set up! As far as I'm concerned, more amtgard in the world is a good thing. Please don't feel obligated to visit us! My goal isn't to pull people from their home groups, just get a foot into the community. As for us, I'm sure I could arrange trips every so often to the Crown Lands. Our fighters aren't the strongest, but we've got a lot of spirit, and we're easy to teach.

For now, I'm content just getting our name out there!

Do you guys do a lot of class battles? I'm afraid several of our members are ultra-flurbs... heh.

Re:Shire of Eoria - Boulder CO - 2011/08/30 17:53 Battlegames depend on the interest. I started trying to run them when I moved out here with some success. Eggman is our current champion and always puts some effort into a fun game for everyone each week. This weekend he's going to be out of town, but has asked me run a game for him involving two teams trying to burn down each other's boats while being assaulted by a kraken. Should be entertaining.

I'm running a project for a class called American Folklore. Basically its "Collect Stuff about what you consider folklore." I've been collecting stuff on amtgard, because that sounds like folklore to me. Anyone interested in coming down for the day, Saturday the 3rd, and being recorded for a project? I realize it's short notice, so don't sweat it if I've posted too late. Cheers!
