after park dinner? - 2011/05/16 21:51so... this week after the park, fabian and i stopped by Pho Duy off drake n shields for dinner before heading south. it occurred to me that not only is it damn good, but its also pretty inexpensive. they were also, unforutnately, almost entirely empty. which is unfortunate, since everyone and their mother should love Pho.
so i was thinking... a social park is a healthy and happy park. does anyone want to go with me next week after the park?
pho is a rice noodle soup in a beef broth that is super delicious. a bowl there runs 7bucks plus tip n tax. so its unlikely to bankrupt anyone. they also have a number of other things on the menu including a couple kids meals if anyone has a munchkin in tow.

Re:after park dinner? - 2011/05/16 22:13If you're talking about the No. 1 Chinese Buffet in Old Town, then meh. It's got Sushi and a bunch of other stuff, but getting in there for $7 or below's a bit iffy, especially if it swaps between the lunch / dinner rush.
Also, the place gets packed. I'd probably be willing to hit up Pho next week, depending if I can yank some cash outta thin air.

Re:after park dinner? - 2011/05/17 23:23I thought I was the only other white person that went to Pho Duy, because ever since we have been going there it is mainly Asians (I kid, there are other people, but yes, very dead).
I LOVE Pho, Pho Duy is definitely not my favorite though, but probably the best up in this area. On Sundays, we usually hit up that place after church, before amtgard. My problem is that it is very tough for me to spend 4 hours fighting, then another 1-2 hours hanging out eating. Family time = happy wife = happy Duhtch.
To conclude, yes, I would love to go out afterwards, but not sure if I will be able to on any type of consistent basis. Especially this Sunday, as I am picking up my mom at the Airport.
Also I would be up for Hibachi super buffet or whatever it is called.

Re:after park dinner? - 2011/06/09 21:42So this sunday I know that Falcwine and Gameboy are going to be at the park. Maybe some other people from Denver, etc might show. Who knows, but I will be an hr late (gunna get my swimming on at my nephews party).
If we wanna eat after I am down, I know that Falcwine and I will prob do that so we can just make it a big group.
