Beer Class in Fort Collins - 2010/02/19 20:28
Who seriously loves beer ?
Chris Love is starting a new 12 week beer course in the Fort Collins area. He's a certified beer judge & has years of experience with homebrewing. I've tasted his stuff and it is amazing. Chris really knows an incredible amount about beer, brewing and about microbreweries across the country.
I just took his last class and it was so much fun. I learned so much; I drank so much. I highly recommend it.
He'll be purchasing a large amount of beer for us to try; About 8 beers per evening, sometimes more. So there will be a class fee of $100 for the entire 12 week course, or $10 per class. Half the price of other BJCP classes. Worth every cent.
Learn about:
• How beer is made
• How to store, pour, taste and evaluate beer
• Beer styles around the world
• Pairing beer with food
Each class will focus on a different style of beer. Wheats, Stouts, IPA's, Belgians, Sours/Lambics, Lagers, Hybrids, etc. The last class will be a cooking with beer potluck dinner.
Classes will be every Wednesday from 6pm to about 9. Please be on time. We will need to host the class in different homes in the Fort Collins area, because private businesses usually do not allow outside beer to be brought in. If you would like to host an evening in your home please let me know. Hosts keep all the leftover beer.
If you have friends who seriously love beer please tell them about this class. We need about 25 people.
