 stormreaver will be out for a few weeks at least - 2009/10/09 12:37 Hi all

Just thought I should let you all know that Storm will be missing from the park on Sunday for at least the next 2-3 weekends. He will probably be unable to fight for longer than that. Sadly he is going to have to have back surgery again as he cannot walk again. I just got him home after spending a few days in the hospital.

We are still trying to find out when he will be having the surgery so I will have to try to keep you updated on that. After the surgery, he will be looking at 4-12 weeks for recovery.

I will bring him to the park to visit as he feels up to it.

Surgery will be next Wednesday. I will let you know how things are going after he is home. They think he will be in the hospital for just a few days after surgery. If this is anything like last time, he will hurt but feel a bit better after the surgery than he does now and have an easier time moving around. This is a different surgery so not sure if it will be that way this time or not but hopefully it will be. As of right now, his spine is compressing his spinal cord quite a bit so at least that pain should not be so sharp.

This is Stormreaver just using my wife's putor cause mine is down stairs. Not an option at this point. Am home anyway but doc says will not be doing anything for at least 6 weeks, then only limited for???? how long. Do hope to visit the park occasionlly in the meanwhile. See you all then. And I do have a question. Will i get a natural armor point now that i have internal metal?

The doctor and a couple of nurses said his back was the worst they had ever seen. The doctor is very happy with the outcome and believes that Storm will be back to his normal life in 2-3 months...which is great news! He drove me nuts last night in the few hours he was home...wants to do everything but isn't allowed to yet and someone has to say NO lol. We do have to take a couple of swords down to show the doctor but from asking him about it, fighting should still be an option.

We appreciate the prayers and warm thoughts. Back surgery is always a scary scary thing. It is a big relief for me to see him walking upright again.
