 Woven macrame belt help - 2005/05/12 09:06 Ummm, I finally found a place here that I can get the bigger cord from, & I know the pattern (it's hella easy) but I don't know the basic pattern lengths that I need to cut for the cord... I know that it varies between individuals, but what's the basics? Belkar (OOTS) "Dude, you order paladins to clean the litter box. You're like, my idol."

Here are probably the three best people that I know of that can help you to make a macrame belt, or at least provide advice and answer any questions you might have:

Mikey HoG

Bel doesn't play much anymore, but I'd bet he'd be willing to answer questions you might have over email. If you need hands on help, I'd recommend you contact Cedric or MHog. I bet that if you asked real nice, they'd even come down and visit

I'd even drive them down if they'd be willing to take a Saturday off...hint, hint... Count Orlando

 Re:Woven macrame belt help - 2005/05/27 14:49 Woven belts, the average is around 3x the finished belt length for each strand. I tend to calculate 3x times the length and then add another foot just in case, 'cause I'm paranoid that way.

If you do knotted belts, it gets insane- you have to cut 10x the finished length. Lots of cord! I wrote up a how-to with diagrams for the last Quals, if you want I can forward it to you when I get home (covers both woven and knotted belts). Tal
