Rules Revisions - 2009/04/01 15:46 Hey folks, its that time again.

Clan is rapidly approaching, and with it, rules revisions.

This year is just clarifications, no changes. If you have changes we can submit them to be playtested, but only clarifications will be voted on and adopted. So, if you have clarifications please either email them to me sirmedryn at gmail dot com or post them here.

Re:Rules Revisions - 2009/04/22 04:40 Hrmm, possibly a better clarification as to what is and what is not shield bashing?

Like does Amt allow for any offensive shield work at all?

For a while there Muse and I during our fighter practices had a fairly liberal stance on what this meant. We were leaning on each other's shield and doing things that weren't exactly "Bashing" in our eyes. But merely shield Manipulation.

Re:Rules Revisions - 2009/05/13 19:00 Ive got a couple.

1. In our principality there are a few people who seem to think it is legal to put a carrage bolt in the bottom of the sword. IE driving it up the bottom of the golf club. They say because its not a metal core its ok.

2. Is it grappling if you put use a hook on the end of a pole to pull shields away from the owner.

Re:Rules Revisions - 2009/05/14 00:37 there are weapons secifically designed to hook shields, as far as i know as long as it is with only your weapon it is legal. Kota Bloodmoore

Re:Rules Revisions - 2009/05/23 05:23 I fail to see where no metal core needs revision. My thinking is that when a bolt is driven into a golf shaft, it becomes the core. Then since it's metal, what further question can there be?

Re:Rules Revisions - 2009/05/23 06:18 Well its slightly ambigious. It also seems to me that the intention of that part of the rules is to make sure that no one makes a weapon out of a metal golfshaft or a broomstick.

I can see the argument being made. I mean, I don't refer to the foam that I put around the core, to build it up for the noodle, part of the core. Neither is the built up handle with duct tape. Its the handle on the core. In that sense the carriage bolt is technically not the core .

Now with this being said. All the weapons on the field need to be safe. At that point in time its left up the Defender or GMR. If that person is afraid that the weapon wasn't built safely, or that the carriage bolt might come loose. He does have the right to throw it out.
