Results from the Althing and Court of August 16th - 2008/09/02 15:23
On August 16th, IMD held an althing. I've been holding off posting results on account of wanting to talk to our regent Uncle Willie first, but he has been swamped with real life obligations recently.
First, court was held. The following awards were given:
Apoch: 4th warrior for crown quals
Atlas: 1st hydra for crown quals
2nd lion for service at Rakis
7th owl for his leather bracers
3rd rose for donated equipment
1st smith for running battlegames
Azrael: 3rd smith for starfest demo
Jazzel: 3rd lion for organizing the Brighton Culturefest
1st smith for running the Brighton Culturefest demo
Kord: 6th lion for continuing provincial PM duties beyond his term in office
2nd owl for cutting a bajillion shield blanks
6th rose for manhours and gas spent researching potential parks for the move from Brighton
Lathara: 1st dragon for crown quals
1st owl for crown quals
1st smith for starfest demo
title of Baroness for term of office served
Saxon: 1st garber for his cape
Ts'ki: 1st lion for starfest demo
2nd smith for starfest demo
Waffles: 1st warrior for battlefield prowess
Congradulations to all for all their hard work! Willie refused any award for his time in office, so instead he gets a huge, heart-felt thank you from me. I owe you dinner, Mister.
The next item on the agenda was the declaration received from Zumat for the office of provincial Prime Minister. Vote of the present voter eligible members resulted in 2 votes for, 0 against, 0 abstentions. Zumat stepped up as ducal PM. Many thanks to Zumat for his donation of time and effort to the duchy!
The next item on the agenda was the discussion as to whether to move the park to Aurora or to some other alternate location. This item was tabled to allow the discussion with more members of the duchy since turn out for the althing was so low.
The last item on the agenda was regarding the issue of no declarations have been received for local monarch and regent. Due to personal obligations, there is no way that I can in continue as local monarch at this time and I stepped down. Pending Regent William's decision as to whether he will continue on as pro-tem monarch, IMD may be without leadership offices at this time until someone declares for these positions.
