 IMPORTANT! - ORK data rollback - 2008/08/19 05:30 the short story is... i fucked up. malformed SQL statement while working on the live database. I'm an idiot and i know better. the result was more than 8000 credits deleted irrevocably. given that said credits were randomly dispersed throughout the system i had no choice but to roll back the database from a backup made on the 16th.

what that means is all changes and additions to the database performed:
after 3AM MST on Aug 16, 2008
but
before 10:30PM MST on Aug 18, 2008
have been lost.

i'm unbelievably pissed off at myself right now. 9 years without a rollback and it has to be such a juvenile mistake that causes it.

The only thing worse than a rollback is finding out you're backup has been backingup a non-existent drive... or your collection of monkey porn. That's embarrassing... Superstar, do you think you're what they say you are?

I thought my memory had finally snapped when I went to look back at credits and no one had anything entered for the 16th when I could have sworn I had entered credits right after I got home from the park....I thought I was losing it, lol.
