Northern Holdfast Crown Quals (and a half) - 2008/08/13 18:35 The NH will be holding a mid-term crown qualifications on Sunday, September 7th, at our usual location. We'll be having ourselves a lovely day of Arts & Sciences, as well as a Quals Tournament for the stick-minded.

All are welcome to enter their swords, garb, armor, food, art, and the like into the A&S portion of the tournament. We're on the hunt for folks who'd like to spend the day judging the entries at the moment, also.

There will also be a tournament, as per any typical crown quals, organized in most likely a double-elimination style. Single, Florentine, Sword & Board, Open Weapon, and any other categories I feel need to be put in there will be among the various match ups I decide upon.

The Arts and Sciences Categories: (Straight from the Corpora)

And, of course, the Fighting bit:

18.B.b.4. Open – Any melee weapon/shield combinations are allowed.

Anyone and everyone is invited to attend, compete, and in general make a big, loud ruckus at our park. (Moreso than usual. We love scaring the mundanes.)

This is relatively tenative at present, and subject to change, given any advice from seasoned veterans. If someone feels another location would be better, additional information is needed, and the like, give me a ring at (970) 231-8701.

Re:Northern Holdfast Crown Quals (and a half) - 2008/08/31 11:22 Just a reminder, Crown Quals (1/2) for the NH will be held next week at our usual park. Anyone interested in swinging some mean foam in a tournament, or entering that cool new thing/object/monster you made are encouraged to attend.

Actually, let's modify that. You're -ordered- to attend.

Plus it'll help Ariston and myself see who's in need of some Orders, if that happens to get anybody drooling.

Re:Northern Holdfast Crown Quals (and a half) - 2008/09/08 00:20 It was a rousting success, folks. Thanks to all that attended!

Thank you to Grendel, Cruz and Kat for graciously offering to judge the A&S portion. Thank you to Storm Reaver for reeving in the terrible, terrible sun. We had excellent attendance as well, which is what I like to see.

Ariston and myself have successfully qualified for office, so run for your lives folks, it's official.

The tournament was delightful, the rankings of which will follow once your humble baron gets some sleep.

The A&S tournament had some stirring entries, which will also be posted pending that whole 'sleep' thing.

Grendel has the tourny rankings, so when he gets a moment, he'll post that up. I have the A&S, and will get that up with nice rankings and the like as well.

It shall be a fun reign, kids, if this day is any indicator.
