Declarations - 2008/06/24 15:00 It's that time again, Folks! IMD's coronation will be coming up soon, and it's time for ducal declarations! Declarations for the following positions are now open:

Ducal monarch and regent, ducal GMR, and IMD is STILL in need of a replacement for its ducal prime minister. Kord has been gracious these last two months since his term ended, but it's about time we all let him retire.

Please email your declarations to me at casca0604@gmail.com, or call me at 813 210-2062. Thank you!

Re:Declarations - 2008/07/30 04:00 Okay, Folks. It has been a month. I have received one declaration at this time for the position of the ducal prime minister, but I has yet to receive even a nibble concerning volunteers for ducal monarch and regent. If anyone has been wondering why there has not been a date set for local coronation, this is why. There is simply no one to coronate.

Look, Peeps. I'm going to be blunt. I am currently holding THREE offices in this Empire, and damn it all, it's about time someone steps up to take ducal monarch off of my hands. I have spoken with our current pm, Kord, and we have decided an althing is in order. It will be held on August 16th. That is two weeks from this coming Saturday, which seems to be the soonest day that doesn't overrun Stock or DBW and is before September. This Althing is in order to discuss and decide upon a course of action in the event that a declaration is not received before that date.

I will not be able to be out at the park this weekend. However, feel free to contact me regarding any questions you may have.

Re:Declarations - 2008/07/30 04:31 I would stand up for a post, but I would be like a blind squirrel flying a plane.

Brothers shall fight, and fell each other,
And sisters sons , shall kinship stain;
Hard is it on earth, with mighty whoredom;
Axe-time, sword-time, shields are sundered,
Wind-time, wolf-time, ere the world falls;
Nor ever shall men, each other spare.

Re:Declarations - 2008/07/30 14:25 If you are interested in running for office and learning how to be in office, but are not wanting to jump into the thick of things with ducal monarch right off the bat, I would suggest running for regent, champion, or local GMR. Each of these are much lighter roles, but still give one good experience on learning the ropes. My best suggestion would be to read through the corpora, if you haven't already, and see if any of these roles would interest you.

There are also a few folks around who are spectacularly willing to answer questions and help out with guiding first time officers. Tal had this excellent series of articles I saw once a while ago, and she might be willing to part with them.

Tal?

Yeah but your home park is DM isn't it? I don't think you can declare for an office position to a park 70 miles away...

... However, in the next 6 months I'd whole-heartedly support a declaration from you.

Re:Declarations - 2008/07/30 15:35 Doh! I didn't even look at who was posting. That's what I get for not being a morning person. Casca Eruoy

Re:Declarations - 2008/07/30 16:27 I realized it was the wrong park after i posted, but the drunken sentiment still counts. Brothers shall fight, and fell each other,
And sisters sons , shall kinship stain;
Hard is it on earth, with mighty whoredom;
Axe-time, sword-time, shields are sundered,
Wind-time, wolf-time, ere the world falls;
Nor ever shall men, each other spare.

The tome proceeds slowly (mostly because I jumped ahead but don't want to release them out of sequence), but there are several introductory sections available.

Re:Declarations - 2008/07/31 04:17 You know... that was actually quite helpful as I continue my political (amtgard) career. Thank You!

Re:Declarations - 2008/07/31 04:31 That's (in theory) what it's for. Tal
