making a War hammer - 2008/06/09 20:11 I've started making an arsenal of random weapons and my next project is a war hammer. the main core will be two bamboo sticks taped together but i wasn't sure how to make the head. i wanted it too get some tips before making something illegal. few questions

is there a height limit, ware can i find the kind of foam used in shield blanks and what would a cover look like? there is no good or evil, only the ambitions of man

Re:making a War hammer - 2008/06/09 20:20 as far as a head I've seen a warhammer built with rolled up camp pad as the head. A cover would be sewn all the way around except at the bottom near the handle fro mone side of the hammer to the other. Then stitch on velcro to each side and that should hold. Not sure on height requirements. When there is no light, there is dark;

Re:making a War hammer - 2008/06/09 20:45 I would recommend two .505 spun graphite rods from into the wind. they will last much longer than bamboo. nothing like putting in tons of time on a weapon to have the core break.

if you come to Rakis I'll give you some construction tips in person, it's easier to explain that way with visuals, etc.

essentially you want the least amount of parts on the weapon. the more parts you add the more likely something will fail. you want simple, safe, solid construction.

Re:making a War hammer - 2008/06/09 20:51 the problem is that the core is from a pole arm i bought from takazu when he moved. it had a verry nice design on the handle that i wanted to use in the hammer ill send you a picture of it later but i wont be able to take it to rakis. maby next time you visit the park there is no good or evil, only the ambitions of man
