Potential Reign Plans - 2008/05/15 03:33
Alright, folks! Azrael and I have some exciting things planned for the upcoming reign if we are elected to office! Our focus during this next six months will be on the newbies! Here are just a couple of the major things we have planned for the reign:
Sapling Tournament - Grendel's creation of the sapling tourney was a great idea, and we plan on bringing that back on the Imperial level! For those who are unfamiliar, the Sapling tournament is a fighting tournament for members with three orders of the Warrior or less. The winner, or Sapling Mastah, gets there name added to an illustrious list of up-and-coming fighters (and some who weren't quite so up-and-coming *cough*Kord*cough*).
Hatchling Tournament - As well as a fighting tournament, we also plan on creating a 3 orders or less (in all A&S award categories) Arts and Sciences tournament! So if you are a new artisan, and want to either show what you can do or get input on your work from some of our most established artisans, bring your items down and enter them into the tourney! Participants will be able to talk to the judges and get specific one-on-one feedback regarding their items.
SJBC - We've heard a lot of requests for some of our more Southern groups to have people come down and host more fighting classes, and so we plan to deliver! Each province that wants one will be scheduled for a fighting class with some of our most prominent stick jocks! If you have ideas on what specifically you'd be interested in learning, please contact me, and we can see about tailoring the classes to your particular needs.
Siege Weapon Tournament - This is one of the most exciting plans we have for the reign. Each sub-group in the core (including South Gate) will make a team to build their own siege weapon. The Empire will reimburse each group for at least a portion of the cost of the materials (as long as the group produces a finished product), and each group will be given 4 months to build and test their siege weapon. Siege weapons will then be brought together and pitted against one another in a targeting contest. Weapons will be judged on multiple facets, including construction, safety, and accuracy.
We also plan to travel to Clan to provide the Empire's full support to our Principality of the Desert Winds as they make their final push to become a full-fledged Kingdom! We urge all IM'ers who are able to travel to come on down and let DW know how proud we are of them, and to let the rest of the Amt-world know as well!
There's more to come, but these are just some of the highlights of what we have planned during the reign. As always, we are eager to hear the thoughts and comments of the populace, and so if you have an idea, we'd love to hear it, either publically here or at Korderellin(@)gmail.com.
