Moment of silence - 2008/03/04 22:46If you please, I would like to observe a moment of silence... today, March 4th 2008... a gaming giant passed from our world. Gary Gygax died at his home in Lake Geneva WI at the age of 69...
For those of you who live under a damned rock, Master Gygax was a co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons. The world will be a smaller place without his presence...Belkar (OOTS) "Dude, you order paladins to clean the litter box. You're like, my idol."

Re:Moment of silence - 2008/03/06 15:36Did he make his saving throw? Sorry...that was in poor taste. Bad Jimmy. Bad. Yes Axys, the world would be a smaller place without his creations. He'll be sorely missed but at least we can all help carry on his work and vision. *Raises goblet* "In honor of Gary Gygax....thank you, huzzah, and rest in peace."

Re:Moment of silence - 2008/03/06 16:23aww booo i was going to make that joke. but i figured most of you would reem me for it. Anyways i think a new "House" rule should be implemented. Anyone who makes a 69 on their percentile role should get whatever they are rolling for. When there is no light, there is dark; When there is no dark, there is light; When there is both dark and light, there is Bendu

Re:Moment of silence - 2008/03/06 22:40Seconded on the 69 rule in the House of Doom or DaLefty residence.Pain is only an illusion of the mind. If you can control the mind, you can control the illusion.

Re:Moment of silence - 2008/03/07 02:38I vote against the house rule. While I can both understand and sympathize the reasons behind the idea....#69 already has it's own good history to observe. Both in D&D and not. Just my thoughts.

Re:Moment of silence - 2008/06/23 21:31I thought this thread would be appropriate for recognizing the loss of another great great man. In case you haven't heard...George Carlin passed away from heart failure on Sunday. He was 71. God rest his soul because I no doubt that St. Peter's been laughing his ass off since George arrived.
