 Hilt Help... - 2005/04/17 19:21 Alright, so we ran into a little issue at my shire's battle game today. I saw what i thought were some hilts (created by our Sheriff) who looked to be under the 2.5 req. So i pulled out my tape measure and checked it. Now, the problem is that it is kinda a square hilt. So, i checked from side to side and from "point" to "point".

Now, from "Point" to "point" it cleared at exactly 2.5".... however from side to side it only measured 2". Is the weapon legal?

 Re:Hilt Help... - 2005/04/18 06:45 I may be wrong here, but go to Walmart or some hobby store and buy a metal ring 2.5 inches around and try to slip that metal ring over the end of the hilt in question and if it falls freely over the hilt, the sword is illegal. If the metal ring does not fall freely over the hilt, it is legal.

In the craft section of the Walmart, in the cross stitch subsection you can find 2.5 inch metal rings.

we have a place called "Jax" it's an outdoor adventuring sorta shop
and they carry a wide variety of diameter rings Strike First. Strike Hard. No Mercy.
