kite spar - 2007/04/22 17:35 what size do you usually use?

Im trying to order it off the net from " into the wind " but i dont know how big to get.

Basicly want the size for a pole arm.

Kite spar I use .505 for a madu/spear/thick sword

I've heard of the next smaller for a sword too.

I would get probably around 1 inch for a pole, but bamboo will be so much better.

Re:kite spar - 2007/04/23 06:49 For kitespar I use kitebuilder.com, as they even cater to LARP groups with a link to the commonly used sized for swords n all.

For polearms, use bandshoppe.com .. almost no whip as they are the poles commonly used for the flags. I ordered 10 8 footers and it cost right around 130.00 for them with shipping...not too shabby.

It's spring so they should have a new load in - just check them for cracks first. Look in the Garden Section.
