Rakis Rule - 2007/04/06 06:47 Here’s the deal, you are not allowed to wear garb that looks like it came from the movie 300 unless you look like a cast member from 300.

This is for everyone's protection.

That is all, thank you.

Re:Rakis Rule - 2007/04/06 23:12 You know...I was so hoping I could do a Roman persona, but that damn movie came out...

And YES, I realize it's Spartan and not Roman.

Great, now I'm going to wake up screaming from nightmares and, ugh, I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

If only skirts were the issue.

Remember: Nothing says "Smack me in the junk" like a leather speedo.

Actually, to me it says:

"Mock me non-stop untill I can no longer achieve an erection around women."

But that's just me...

Re:Rakis Rule - 2007/04/11 02:10 you know why they make them leather right???? it happens to be because it is thick and stable yet pliable when wet. They get the leather wet, then go to the biggest naked statue in town and shape it to there junk. when they say it is to create room to 'breathe', they really mean, "i bet you cant guess what im compensating for". that would also explain the effort put into fighting and having that luxurious eight pack.

Re:Rakis Rule - 2007/04/11 14:12 watch out ladies!

that pretty package might just be..

a big gift of syphilis!

here's some info from wikipedia

Middle Ages and Renaissance

Male undergarments

In the Middle Ages, western men's underwear became looser fitting. The loincloth was replaced by loose, trouser-like clothing called braies, which the wearer stepped into and then laced or tied around the waist and legs at about mid-calf. Wealthier men often wore chausses as well, which only covered the legs.

By the Renaissance, the chausses became form-fitting like modern Hose, and the braies became shorter to accommodate longer styles of chausses. However, chausses and many braies designs were not intended to be covered up by other clothing, so they are not actually underwear in the strictest sense.

Braies were usually fitted with a flap in the front that buttoned or tied closed. This codpiece allowed men to urinate without having to remove the braies completely.
Henry VIII of England began padding his own codpiece, which caused a spiraling trend of larger and larger codpieces that only ended by the end of the 16th century. There are two possible explanations for Henry VIII's codpiece becoming larger and larger. It is speculated that he, along with many others in this time period, may have had the venereal disease syphilis. The large codpiece may have included a bandage soaked in medication to relieve the symptoms. It would then be wrapped again to protect the outer clothing. Henry VIII also wanted a healthy son and may have thought that projecting himself in this way would portray fertility.

also, here's another wiki link that reveals:

At first, the codpiece was entirely a practical matter of modesty. Men's hose were typically very snug on the legs and open at the crotch, with the genitalia simply hanging loose under the doublet. As changing fashions led to shorter doublets, the codpiece was created to cover the crotch. Alternate versions of the origin of the codpiece exist.

As time passed, codpieces were shaped to emphasize the male genitalia and eventually often became padded and bizarrely shaped. They also often doubled as pockets, handy carrying places for a variety of items such as coins and snuff.

so you never know,
there could be treasure or syphilis in there.. or both!
