Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/05 17:29I think having the Fighter Practice on Sundays is a great idea being that i think there will be more older members able to be there thus having more supervision. I know my opinion on this is not all that qualified since i am not allowed to fight right now but by the time that i can it would be nice to have this in action and have the bugs that most things have worked out.

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/05 23:43I have asecond suggestion. Since our weekly meets are at 1 on Saturday, Why couldn't we have fighter practice at 11AM on saturday. that gives two hours of practice before regular Saturday meet and at least a half hour of ditching before everyone shows up."Let me explain this to you once. Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/06 03:10Because part of the point to having it on Sunday was to try drawing out some of the people that cant come out on Saturdays. It wasnt all that long ago that we had a sizeable group that came out on sundays.....and it might even draw out some of our original members that have been wanting to come back out but work on saturdays.
In any case, if you want to come out earlier on saturdays your welcome to do so...as are anyone else that might want to join you. As for sundays, I am going to keep running a practice/gameday then for those that want to join in.Hops.....Grains.....By God, my beer is a salad!

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/06 06:00Sorry Bart but I do agree with Artemis on this one. Sunday gives people another chance to get into the swing of things. And I've never met older members of the park and actually if we do get alot of members coming out on sundays then we'll put it to the group about making it another game day. Because.... correct me if I'm wrong but we are allowed to get 6 credits a month.... 7 when there is an extra Saturday during the month. Right now we are only gaining 4 per month. Even those people who show up every Sunday for Fighter's Practice are only getting 5. I wanna see higher levels in our park and more experience walking the field. So if you do know older members or people who can't come out on Saturday tell them that we're starting up on Sundays. The more people the better off we are. Maybe.... just MAYBE... *whispering* we could swing Dutchy! Wolf Wu Tang Clan Kurato Clan

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/06 23:44Is it possible for two fighter practices to be held each week, but only get credit for one? If so, I would like to do the Saturday at 11 thing. That way those who cannot go out on sudays for whatever reason can still get .25 credit per week in addition to the meet. Plus those who are willing to go both days can have the extra practice.
P.S. I suppose that four years isn't a long time in your life-span so far Artemis.

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/07 17:06Right you are Bart.....my experience spans the ages!!!!
And yes you could have early practice on Saturdays...you can only get the .25 credits for one fighters practice a week, but if people are motivated to get better at fighting then you can get together as often as you want.Hops.....Grains.....By God, my beer is a salad!

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/07 19:30I thought you could only get 1 credit per day..
let's see, corpora stuff:
2.B. Class Credits 2.B.a. If you travel more than 200 miles (one way) you can get one extra credit for a single day event. As with everything else in this section this is limited by 2.B.f. 2.B.b. Provincial leaders may approve extra credits but may not exceed the limits in 2.B.f. 2.B.c. Fighter Practices give you 1/4 credit a practice. Any class you are eligible for, no limits aside from those in 2.B.f. 2.B.d. One credit is given out per week for normal Amtgard weekly game-days. 2.B.e. Interkingdom or multi-day events give you one credit per day unless your provincial monarch or the Emperor/Empress says otherwise. 2.B.f. Using any or all of these sources there is a limit of 6 class credits per month, unless there are five Saturdays or five Sundays in that month in which case the absolute limit is 7 class credits for that month. Credit may only be given for a class that was actually played except when special events such as tournaments and quests preclude all battlegames or when taking fighter practice credit. In these cases the credit may be taken in any class you are eligible for. Monsters must always be played for credit to be given in this class.
so I guess you would only be allowed 1 credit for a normal game day, then fighter practice on other days, unless the monarch authorized additional credits (such as fighter practice early saturday, and then normal game day that same saturday), as long as one didn't go over the credit limits of 6 credits per month, unless 5 saturdays/sundays, then 7 credits limit for those months.

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/09 05:51Grendel is correct, but that doesnt prevent anyone that wants to get together from starting earlier in the day in order to build upon their skills.
If they wanted additional credit they would have to come out on another day.Hops.....Grains.....By God, my beer is a salad!

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/10 00:18The way I read it was that if Loup granted his permission, It was kosher. IS this incorrect?"Let me explain this to you once. Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/10 17:37Yes, the Monarch can give permission for addition credits to be give....up to the monthly maximum....however, this is done for special events or occassions not as something that occurs weekly.Hops.....Grains.....By God, my beer is a salad!

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/11 00:06Ok.... This is how this is gonna work. Fighter's Practice is on SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!! Corpora states that we may attain up to six credits a month... or seven with an extra Saturday.... HENCE... That means that I could give out special credits when warrented. In this case we'll get a .25 credit on Sundays if you show to fighter's practice for AT LEAST 45 min. Now... in the future... if we have enough people coming out on Sunday to have a game day... then fighter's practice will be turned into another actual game day and full credit will be awarded. Then we could max out our credits for the month. Meaning... more people leveling... more people at the park.... more experience showing back up..... and more people to play with. This ploy could even get us Dutchy if we get people to come out.
So now I have to know. Grendel... you know the Corpora well and know the rules. Am I able to hold two game days a week to build max out our credits per month or does it go against Corpora?

Re:Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! - 2007/02/11 02:37to my knowledge the corpora doesn't list any restriction on a park from having more than one "game-day" per week (as opposed to "fighter practices"). though 2.B.d does say "weeky", implying ones a week, but it could also be interpreted to allow multiples as long as each is individually weekly.
however, the amtgard core rules limit any player from receiving more than one credit per day.
the im corpora limits a player to receiving more than one full credit per week. all others must be .25 credits. exceptions being made for travel, multi day events, or monarch approval.
all credits are limited to the 6/7 per month maximum.
that said... there should be a notably difference between a "game day" and a "fighter practice". game days involve more than just a few people getting together to smack each other for a hour or two."But right now I'm a little concerned about my pants, since I don't know where they are." - Valathina Nailo
