Note from the Emperor - 2007/01/09 20:24First of all let me thank Sir Medryn and Sir Lief for the service to the club in the last 6 months. It was my honor to award them both there Arch Duke at court. I would also like to thank everyone that helped prepare our wonderful feast, In no particular order, Lief, Serpentara, Edan, Edan’s missing part of his finger, Kord, Cutari, Talisin, Kota, Cullum and anyone else I am forgetting.
For those that missed court:
I stand before you with grave news.
It seems that over the years our reputation has been tarnished by neglect. Those that once feared us now think they are superior to us. They think we are unorganized, uncultured and untrained in the ways of war. One kingdom even has gone so far as to declare there intent to make war on our principalities.
So I ask you the great empire of the Iron Mountains, are we going to let our land, our honor and our pride to be threatened by such brigands as the RW?
While we should take pride in the fact that even our own wayward populace have been so well groomed for greatness that they naturally assume high positions in what ever lands there wonder lust sends them. But this disregard for the mother land from our own prodigal son Sir Owl Bonesteel has gone to far.
The traitor has declared his intent to wage war upon us, sources loyal to the crown tell us that the Rising Winds mean to engage us in all manor of war known to Amtgard. We must best this challenge.
It is time to brush off the apathy that has been growing in the IM and refocus ourselves on regaining our honor by focusing on this one command:
Prepare for war
I have been assembling the finest generals, The masters of the arts, The best Entertainment, the greatest armors in the lands to help us meet this challenge. The crown will be providing ample training in all forms of war. I ask every member of the Iron Mountains and our great principalities to make plans to attend as much training as is possible.
I have asked Zumat to head up a training program that will prepare our fighters to work as one unit in battle. As well as a series of drills that will help us improve our basic one on one skills.
I have asked Storm Reaver and Sir Grendel to organize of classes to teach the sciences of amtgard, The IMU will be offering classes weapon and shield construction, affordable armor construction, effective spell casting.
We will be working with each group to arrange travel to salt wars for every person that wants to go. And if the RW is foolish enough to invade us we will make sure that every able bodied warrior will have a ride to remove the RW from our lands.
And let us not forget our crown jewel event of the year, Rakis, Kord and his autocrat crews are working hard to make sure that the empire is going to have the best event in all of amtgard. Keep your eyes open there will be ways that you can help.
In the end it is up to us to retake our honor, I know we all have what it takes to come together and put the Iron back in the Iron Mountains. Who is with me?
As you can see we have a busy reign ahead of us. Currently on the schedule we have: February 17th Edan’s Mead work shop March 10th Mini SKBC held in Darkmoon March 25th Imperial Dragon Master and Weapon Master March 31st Imperial Midreign held in Crimson Dawn hosted by House Doom April 21st Imperial trip to help ready the rakis site May 12th The special Olympics! May 17th thru the 20th is Salt Wars! May 26th is the Imperial crown qualification tourney in IMD May 27th is the second Imperial trip to help ready the rakis site June 9th is the IMD Coronation June 10th is the NH Coronation June 13th thru the 17th is Rakis
Also to help in the war effort there are plans for weekly a&s workshops in the IMD, CD as well as the NH. The IMU is also working on setting up weekly workshop based projects to keep those who do not already have a project busy and learning. The IMU is also taking requests for classes. Please contact sir Grendel for more information.
As always, I am open to new ideas. Please if you want to see and idea tried let me know and I will do my best to get it done.

you mentioned that you would like to see some various classes in Crimson Dawn, such as some fighting work, and weapon construction if I recall correctly. Hit me up with: A. what classes you would like to see in CD within the next 6 months & B. at least 2 dates for each desired class that you would prefer (note, due to the schedule of the professors you might not get the perfect dates you'd prefer but we will do our best to work out an amiable solution)
