Perhaps I misread what you wrote. when you said:

It sounded to me like you were saying that if the majority of your park wanted to not attend the althing, that you should not attend. That sounded like you were voting on whether you as a park should participate (or not) in the Empire. I apologize if I misunderstood.
It is apparent that many folks in CD feel like they have been ignored by the Empire. I'm not entirely sure what to say about that. I'd like to hear what special treatment people feel has been afforded to other groups, and I'd like to share some of my concerns with attitudes that I have heard voiced (or whispered). I'm not certain when the best opportunity to do that would be.
I am especially concerned since I haven't had a single person come to me personally to share their concerns about the Empire. I've said it before and I'll say it again: It is my job (at least for another couple of weeks) to address the populace's concerns about the Empire. I however can not do that with out hearing about them.
That being said I hope that as many of you as possible can make it up to Brighton. It was always my goal to increase intergroup travel, unfortunately this reign it seemed much more like I was just increasing my own travel. I certainly can't make you participate in anything, but the invitation is there. I hope to see you on Saturday.

I don't think it is necessarily anyone's "fault". I think lots of people on both sides have unvoiced expectations. I think that there is a definite lack of understanding and communication.
I feel responible for a lot of this because I have not been able to keep great communication up with CD's leaders. That was my responability and I didn't do it. However it is concerning to me that , from this end, there appeared to be very few attempts at staying in contact with me.

Re:Trip this weekend - 2006/12/14 21:44No no... it's not any one's fault. I thnk it's on both parts that the communication was closed. We've had the same people running the park for a while so some things may have been left unsaid. I'm wanting to change that. Communication is key when needing to get things done. So for the rest of your reign medryn and for the up and coming reign I'm planning on opening up CD to the rest of the empire so if any problems do exist need to be talked over I'm sure we'll have ample opportunity.
