the contents or format of guildmaster tests have never been defined by any source that is still binding. as such they can be in whatever format the guildmaster deems appropriate.
i've seen "what level are you now?" "three" "correct! you pass!"
or my own Archer tests which have questions covering any new class abiliities, but also cover random facets of the class gained at previous levels and then each one culminates with a skills test. the tests can be passed without scoring any points in the skills section, but it certainly helps to pick up a few there at the end. additionally, one of the questions (at level 3 i think)is "do you own your own arrows".
incidentally, if your GM of archers would like a copy of my tests, he's more than welcome to them.
