Important ORK Changes 4/1/2005 - 2005/04/01 10:05The ORK has grown far faster than i could have expected. Add on to this, some recent financial issues caused by having a child and being unemployed for a year and a half.
this had led me to the unfortunate descision that i must begin charging chapters for its use.
as i figure it, the ork has about 150 chapters in it. given the rate of expansion it will probably be costing me around 30 dollars a month in bandwidth and drive space usage. since i can pay x10 for a full year, instead of x12, that gives us a nice round number of 300 bucks a year. or roughly 2 dollars per chapter. less than one person's dues.
i've been in contact with Snicker, and he has given me a list of contact addresses for each chapter in the system. generally the last person in power with a contact address.
I will be sending out physical requests for payment in the next two or three days. 2 dollars per year of access, with the ability to pay fo 5 years up front. since i know this is the first time i've had to do this, i'm gonna be fairly lax. but if, after 3 months, payment has not been received from your chapter, i will disable the admin access. all records will remain, but they will no longer be able to be updated.

the ork is still free. it will be as long as i can possibly do so (and given what it actually is costing me to run it, tha tshould be a VERY long time). and even then, i might just bug the empire for a small handout to keep it going. it would never be on a per chapter basis.
