Dragon Blade Wars IV
Sept 1st through 4th Labor Day Weekend.

Remember that DBW4 is the DW mid-reign as well as the coronation of all of our parks all in one weekend. SO don't miss out on your chance to see friends from across the Principality and pre-pay to save a few dollars off of the gate fee. DBW4 is a smaller event that promotes happy shiney peeps. Now a brief schedule of what will be happening this year:
Day 1 September 1st (Friday)
1 pm gate opens officially
2 pm Lunch hosted by the Hooligan Fighting Company of the Desert Rose
3pm to 6pm
Game of the Houses will be played, the brainchild game from Owl StoneHammer & Sammuel Loken of the Desert Rose, for more information go to the download section of the Desert Winds website to download your copy of the rules.
6 pm dinner Hosted by the Dragon Blade Mercenaries.
7pm till 9pm the game of the houses will resume.
9 pm the ditch field will be lit and open till the last one stops swinging foam.
Day 2 September 2nd (Saturday)
~ Principality of the Desert Winds Mid-reign~
8 am Breakfast hosted by House Phallus of the Desert Rose
9 am till Lunch will be Principality Weapon master and Dragon master tournaments
1 pm Lunch hosted by House Traginoire of the Desert Rose
3 pm the preliminary barbarian horde battle will take place
4 pm Stable owners will buy their gladiators at the slave sale
6 pm Dinner hosted by the Dragon Blade Committee
7pm Provincial out going monarch court will be held with all provinces being monarch less until Sunday evening.
After court Bardic circle will be presented as well as a lit ditch field open till who knows when.
Day 3 September 3rd (Sunday)
~The main Attraction~
8 am Breakfast hosted by the Golden Lions fighting company.
9am Gladiatorial games where stables are pitted against stables
1 pm lunch hosted by the Bear clan of the Desert Winds.
2 pm the battle of the horde versus the outgoing monarchies will take place
6pm dinner hosted by the Dragon Blade Committee
7 pm court with the MVP of the war recognized as well as the incoming provincial monarchs will be crowned.

Day 4 September 4th (Monday)
8 am breakfast hosted by Jalis’s wife Marnie
Clean-up and tear down and wishing all comers a safe trip homeward bound.
Some information about Dragon Blade Wars and the location. Welcome RV is about 8 miles west of the small town of Wells NV. There are several motels within Wells that range from about 28 – 60 per night stay.

The event site has men & women restrooms, plus port-a-toilets for use during the day. Showers within both men’s & women’s restrooms are available for all attendees, there is a laundry room that is available for use (Note that you will have to bring money for this amenity), there will bagged ice on site only $1.50 per bag, running water & electricity.
Prices include gate fees, food feast costs and camping costs:
$28.00 per adult (14 an older) or those who are fighting and are a little younger.
$25.00 RSVP via pay-pal
$10.00 per child under the age of 14 that is not fighting
$7.00 RSVP via paypal
those under 7 years of age, free!!

Some things you should know:
Event coinage:
DBW4 will have its own currency for use throughout the event. This currency can be used for purchasing things within the shop, at the tavern and at the gladiatorial wagering booth. You will receive event coin after you return your completed waiver to the registration booth; if you’ve pre-paid your gate fee you will receive 20 wooden coins and a coin purse and if you haven’t you’ll receive only 10!
There will be several ways to make more coins. One way is to purchase additional event coins and in order for you to plan how much you want to buy here is a breakdown:
1 wooden coin = 10 cents
1 copper coin = 1 dollar
1 silver coin = 10 dollars
1 gold coin = 100 dollars
Pre-paid starting coin is 20 wooden or 2 copper = 2 dollars.
Gate paid starting coin is 10 wooden or 1 copper = 1 dollar.
The prices of many of the items will be in wooden coin so the person who is unable to purchase more coin can still use their coin to get a few drinks at the tavern.
The additional ways to earn coin will be released later on so keep watching the releases for these other ways.
Event armbands:
Event armbands will be monitored this year. This means that in order to get fed at the feasts, you must present the band to the hosting group. If you are retrieving food for someone other than yourself in addition to your food, then you must also present their band as well.
What if I loose my band? In this case, you can get a replacement band from the gate. In order to insure that this is not a recurring thing, there will be a fee for these additional bands. In short keep hold of that band.
Gladiator Games:
The games will once again be full class, but another twist will be added. Not only will there be fighting but other feats of ability will also be tested such as athletics, skill of balance and more.
The Tavern:
The tavern will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 9pm and it will stay open till the last patron leaves. We will have ale and other alcohols as well as non-alcoholic beverages for those under the legal age as well as those non drinkers. There will be available tasks that be available only within the tavern….Role Play is required.
Vendors & Massage therapist
We have asked three to four vendors to be present at this years event. Their range of products will be mineral make-up, homemade cold creams and soap and homemade lye soap and candles. The vendors will not take event coin for their products, so if you would like to purchase any of these then bring a little spending cash.
The massage therapist will be there, and she will charge $15.00 for a fifteen minute session, so you can have those sore shoulders taken care of before the tournament or before the war.
