Imperial Weekend Reports - 2006/07/20 04:04 Greetings again to Our undead minions, and to you still among the living:

This weekend We visited the Duchy of the Iron Mountains, on Saturday, where Our undead minions fought numerous invaders in one of the many graveyards that dot the land after our invasion. The battle was glorious. The sun unfortunately was out and it made Us long for the cool dark of night, despite that fact the attendance was very good.

Sunday was the first of Our Imperial Game Days. We were disappointed that very few members of neighboring lands journeyed to the Northern Holdfast to participate in the games. Despite that fact, attendance was good in the Holdfast as well. We understand that a group of spiders and one of Our mummies fought valiantly to defend the crypts of another graveyard from invaders. It appears that our generous invitations go unanswered, We will have to show Our vassals what homage they owe the Empire. Expect to be seeing Our undead legions in your towns very soon.

Next week Prince Lief shall accompany Us to the annual Gathering of the Clans. Much will be discussed between Us and the other Monarchs of the world. As always We are glad to accept wise counsel on those matters, specifically changes to the rulebook.

Re:Imperial Weekend Reports - 2006/08/02 04:50 Greetings to all mortals and denizens of the Realm:

We find Ourselves well rested after Our trip the the Gathering of the Clans. As has been noted in various forums, new rules revisions were instituted and the beginnings of a consensus appear to have been reached regarding awards standardization. Overall the event was a good one, and very productive.

A new monster book was unveiled by Sir Raphael at the Gathering of the Clans and in November the Monarchs of the Realms will vote to make either that book or the Amtgard 7's Dor Un Avathar the official monster book of Amtgard. We would encourage all of Our subjects to study both books and to send Us their thoughts on the matter.

The time has come to choose who shall be in charge of running next years Rakis. We have heard rumors of several proposals and they all sound most intriguing. In order to provide motivation for those planning to enter a bid We hereby decree that all such proposals shall be delivered to Us by the first day of October, 2006. Proposals should include a theme, a budget, as well as proposed activities and ideas for improving the Iron Mountains Interkingdom event. We look forward to receiving your proposals.

This coming weekend the Crown shall travel north. It has come to Our attention that Our Legions may be needed to control an infestation of ninjas. We call on all loyal members of the Empire to join Us in this task and to attend Chopstock. We understand that a great deal of merriment and excitement is planned. We shall be very disappointed should you fail to attend.

Finally, as a reminder: The week after Chopstock the Crown and our Legions will be headed south to the Barony of Darkmoon. We fully expect better attendance than at the last Imperial Game Day, it would vex Us sorely to have to bring rebellious provinces to heel, and those not in attendance, or offering suitable excuses, shall be considered in rebellion. We trust that no further warnings are necessary.

Re:Imperial Weekend Reports - 2006/08/11 02:42 Greetings to Our Most Loyal Subjects, and you that are not so loyal as well (We know who you are):

This past weekend was fantastic. We greatly enjoyed ourselves at Chopstock. A great many thanks go out to all who worked hard to make it an exciting event. The Ninja Hunt appeared to be a success, and the quest was enjoyable as well. The ditching was top notch, with numerous high caliber fighters on the field. We also had a wonderful time at the Bardic Saturday night, and hope that the populace was greatly troubled by Our most royal shrieking.

This weekend the Crown travels to Darkmoon. We hope that many others will attend and make this Imperial Game day a success.

We would also suggest that you all begin making plans for Our Midreign celebration. This camping event promises to be very exciting, and We would hate to have whole segments of the populace flayed and raised as skinless zombies simply for failing to attend (we would prefer a better reason). The details of the Event are available on the forums, and We trust that Duchess Cutari will be posting more information soon.

Until this weekend,

Emperor Medryn

Re:Imperial Weekend Reports - 2006/08/24 03:33 Greetings to Our Undead Host, and to you unfortunate mortals as well:

We have been Travelling quite a bit recently and so have seen very few of Our subjects, that is most regrettable. THis past weekend We travelled in to realms unknown to Amtgard and fid Ourselves quite relaxed upon Our return. The previous weekend was and Imperial Gameday in Darkmoon. Thanks to those loyal subjects who braved the rain to attend, Sir Jetara, Squire Ellie, Squire Skortch, Headshot, Apoch, and Cammon, are to be greatly praised, as are the loyal members of Darkmoon. It is unfortunate that most of the mortals were apparently to frail to handle the weather.

This coming Weekend is Imperial Weaponmaster and Dragonmaster in the Duchy of the Iron Mountains. We hope to see a large number of Our populace in attendance and competing for the various prizes.

The weekend after that is Dragon Blade Wars in Desert Rose. The Crown will be in attendance, and so should you.

Re:Imperial Weekend Reports - 2006/08/30 01:33 Greetings to Our undead legions, and to those of you unfortunate enough to still draw breath:

This past weekend saw a spectacular turn out for the Weaponmaster competition, but a rather poor showing for Dragonmaster. Consequently the Dragonmaster Tourney has been postponed until the Midreign camping event. We fully expect that an additional three weeks will produce a vast number of entries for the competition. Our Prince Regent has graciously donated a live steel sword for the winner of the tourney to keep, in addition to the traditional spear that is passed from winner to winner.

Congratulations to Squire Zumat for winning the highly competitive Weaponmaster Tourney. The competition was stiff with numerous quality fighters in attendance and a very close finish.

This next Weekend We will be travelling to the westernmost portions of Our great Empire to attend Dragon Blade Wars, and the Principality of the Desert Winds Midreign. We encourage as many of you as possible to attend the event promises to be a wonderful time.

Re:Imperial Weekend Reports - 2006/09/22 04:15 Greetings to the denizens and mortals of the Realm:

We were quite pleased with Our Midregin event, thank you all who braved the rain and snow to have such a lovely time.

It was Our pleasure to reconfirm Sir Talisin in the peerage, under the order of the crown. Few if any are as deserving.

Congratulations are also due to Sir Thor for winning Dragonmaster, and to Squire Zumat for his 9th warrior, which We granted him for his performance in Weaponmaster. Also of note, Axgar was given his 6th Lion, totaling 9 between Lions and Gryphons. His constant service and leadership to our Realm and the game are amazing.

Additionally it was Our pleasure to restart the tradition of giving the Dagger of Honor. This is one of the coolest traditions of the Iron Mountains and Orin was very much deserving. We can only hope that future Monarchs will continue this tradition.

Our Reign is half over and that brings up several issues. First, Rakis proposals must be turned in to Us no later than October 1st. Secondly as Our Reign winds down it is time to begin thinking of the next one, therefore it is Our will that declarations for the office of Monarch and Regent for the upcoming reign must be turned in to either Ourselves or Imperial Prime Minister Korderellin by the first day of November.

This weekend is Quidditch in the Duchy of the Iron Mountains, and Next week is an Imperial Game day in the Northern Holdfast. We expect the presence of each of you.
