shield mats and construction.. - 2006/06/25 10:53As most of you found out at rakis, my shield bit the dust finally, the foam is pretty beaten out (not bad for almost 3 years of servitude )
I'm looking to get ahold of some more foam but I have no idea where, and also see if I can find some help from someone with some good centergrip shield tech.
I've also noticed alot of people wanting to make new shields, of various types, maybe this would be a good time to organize a workshop?
just a thought.

She's selling them cheeper then anyone I've ever know, she managed to come across 6 sheets of the white 5 pound density plank foam at an auction at her college and scored the win with an insanely low bid because no one knew what they were except her. each sheet of the stuff brand new today would cost about $179 each.
Shouldn't be more the about $15 in shipping for up to 2 medium round from Rock springs WY to Denver.
I was bummed when I found out she'd got them the friday OF rakis. If she'd have gotten them the week prior we could've mae the trip to Rakis and sold Shield blanks to cover the cost of the event.
PS, I'm working on my center grip construction tutorial as we speak and hope to have the rough draft up this weekend, but no promises. Maybe I'll attach it to the madu tutorial.....

I've got 2 left from her stock but i'm cutting them down into max size small center grip shields this afternoon (gotta get pictures for my new tutorial). Last I heard she had about 13-16 left.
You could always just come to Dragon Blade war and pick one up then!! or swing over to truevale on a saturday, it's only about a 5 hr drive from the NH, that's less then the driving distance of our principality across.

All I know is that you take the exit that leads you by the 15 foot golden Budda statue with the huge grin on his face looking across the street at the tripple x-rated book/video stor and then take a left and head up the hill into the neighborhood to the south........
but you could ask on thier yahoo list I'm sure or email Lady Rayne.
If you do through together a visit let me know and I'll try my best to meet you there with some peeps.

Honestly though I'd like to see if we can generate the interest in the NH, I hear alot of people talking about how they want to go to centergrip, or want new shields etc, seems like the perfect opportunity to organize a workshop.
