IMD/Crown Lands Info (updated 01/20/09) - 2006/06/19 11:39(Note: a new sticky post has been created for information; this one will not be updated in the future.)
IMD has become the Crown Lands of the Iron Mountains per the recent Althing vote. The park itself DOES still exist and will continue to meet on Saturdays as usual in Arvada until further notice.
What has changed: there is no longer a Duchy and the park has become Crown Lands. See the Imperial PM for clarification.
The local Seneschal/record keeper is Hannibal: you can reach him at hannibalhesson@yahoo.com.
The Duchy web site has been discontinued.
The Crown Lands meet in Hoskinson/North Jeffco Park every Saturday beginning between noon - 1pm.
Directions to park: From the North – Take I-25 South to I-76 West Take I-76 West to Wadsworth Blvd. Take Wadsworth North (Right) to Ralston Rd. Take Ralston West (Left) to Carr St. Take Carr North (right) to Brooks Dr. Turn Left on Brooks, Hoskinson/North Jeffco park will be on your left.
From the South – Take I-25 North to I-70 West Take I-70 West to Wadsworth Blvd. Take Wadsworth North (Right) to Ralston Rd. Take Ralston West (Left) to Carr St. Take Carr North (right) to Brooks Dr. Turn Left on Brooks, Hoskinson/North Jeffco park will be on your left.

no offense, you do a great job, this is nothing against you, but rather a plea to folks that aren't traditionally in office,
can't we got 6 months without Talisin having to fulfill an office or officer duties of some sort?
would anyone else in IMD be willing to help out for 6 months that isn't one of the traditional folks holding office all the time?

Re:IMD Contacts & Info (updated 10/01/08) - 2008/10/23 01:57Actually it was not announced publicly on any list or forum, it was said to me in person by Zumat at Mid-reign, and according to Z at the time, it was primarily because he didn't have regular internet access or a reliable way to get to the IMD Park, and wasn't sure when that situation would improve. *I* didn't manage to pass that on to anyone really until several weeks later, far later than I should have, and didn't seek to have the active park populace deal with it immediately like I/we should have.
So, no, it wasn't *announced* by anyone, it simply has been the situation that we at the park have been dealing with for a couple of months. If Z's situation is changing enough for him for that to be possible, that is new information that has not been publicly shared either, until now...
Thus, I apologize to everyone for my crappy communication skills. We've been traveling much lately, and I should have brought it up formally for the park to deal with sooner. I knew this was an issue that needed to be dealt with, and I didn't, and I'm sorry about that.
Since he (Z) hasn't been out to IMD much, and therefore hasn't been able to fulfill the duties - and has probably missed more than the requisite 4 (if not 8 total) weeks anyway - it hasn't been hashed out *with Zumat there* in a way that solved the problem. Basically, I have been whining concernedly about it for several weeks now at the park, but have not done or seen anyone else putting anything into action, until now.
I've got a few of the sign-in sheets to pass on to whoever is ultimately going to do this for IMD, and I hope some others out there might as well. As a member of IMD, I'm fine with Tal doing it, if she is, especially as she attends IMD regularly (sorry Azrael, but you are usually only every other week, at best, and so aren't really the optimal choice) - and far more regularly than anyone else at this point. Thank you Tal for stepping up and volunteering to take that on!
It would be nice to have the records caught up again, for everyone in IMD. And we have several new groovy folks (like that Tremere guy, and Revrag and Co., and hopefully some of our recent passerby guests sometime soon) to incorporate records into IMD for as well.
However, so as not to spend the entire post talking about him in the third person, 'cause that's rude and I really am trying not to be like that today...
Zumat, please chime in when you get a chance and let us know your thoughts on the matter.

I've been to IMD just as much as NH, and I live closer to IMD. I can get online, and will be there every week.

I should probably clarify: I don't particularly want to be PM. If we have other people interested, then yay, have an Althing. But I can get things caught up until they're sorted out fairly easily. I entered the awards from midreign and the last IMD court, so at least that should be caught up.Tal

Edit: Wait... You had to enter the IMD court from late Aug a third time? Or just from midreign? I entered the August ones, then the ork went down, and I entered it a second time. Did something else happen?

I'm guessing they just didn't take or got wiped again, or something. I skimmed a couple of entries and I don't see any duplicates yet. So at least one of those attempts took- hopefully they won't have to be entered again.Tal
