NH Park - Spring Park - 2006/05/30 07:29Greetings Folks,
You may or may not have heard yet, but the NH park for our normal Sunday games has moved.
Please consider this the only official source for where we are playing (Some folks were contacted Sunday stating we were going to be at Indian Hills, that is incorrect)
The New NH Park is Spring Park.
Why the Change?
Parks & Recreation informed me at the park on Sunday that they need to close down part of Warren Park in order to "re-turf" some parts of the park where we normally play. The Parks & Rec employee gave me his card & info and we're going to communicate further today.
After reviewing a couple other parks Sunday, I decided Spring Park would be the best park to play at for now. (I'm still getting details on when we can return to Warren Hills, I'll keep you posted)
From Warren Park - Head North on Lemay out of Warren Hills Park Turn Left (West) on Stuart (you'll go past Indian Hills) then on Remington turn Left (South - this is a 4 way stop) then turn Left at the next stop sign - this is Spring Park Dr
From North College(287) -
Head South on College/287 Turn Left (East) on Spring Park Drive there's the park directly ahead, next to the fire station.
From South College(287) - Head North on College/281 Turn Right (East) on Spring Park Drive there's the park directly ahead, next to the fire station.
Spring Park has allot of room for parking, and trees, bathrooms are on the side of the fire station (not confirmed if they are open), a gas station is practically across the street (off College about a block South - the Diamond Shamrock) there is playground equipment for the little ones & Cruz.
When Takezu and I stopped by there Sunday there were some parents with kids playing in the playground, and the area we're looking at playing in (the West side of Spring Park) has some nice flat areas for fighting, trees & grass, and no one was making use of that area. The park expands to the East quite a bit, with a slight incline on the South side.

Also, Sunday we held the Allthing to consider special circumstances and allow Xero to step back into the office of Duke ( he was removed from office prior due to 8 times missed during the reign ) I stepped into the position of Duke, and Riddick is my Regent.
this coming Sunday June 4th declarations are due to run for NH Monarch & Regent, declarations are due to NH Prime Minister Quiet or myself. No one has yet to declare officially. also this Sunday will be the create a class game. see the rules here

Just to clarify, we will be meeting at the West side of Spring Park
edited : I had it saying we were meeting on the east side, my bad, we meet on the west side of the park. : )

Re:NH Park Change - 2006/05/30 10:31btw... when loyal and i were scouting new parks, spring park was our second choice. the only thing that allowed warren park to win out was the terrain and its niftiness for battlegames.
as a side note... when we moved to warren park, the intention was that we'd kinda rove around the entire park using various parts of it each week. that never materialized. its soemthing that we should consider doing no matter where we end up. its pretty safe to say that amtgard as a whole is pretty rough on the grass and other vegetation."But right now I'm a little concerned about my pants, since I don't know where they are." - Valathina Nailo

Got a message from the Parks & Rec dude Robert, he talked to the big boss they decided it would be cool for us to have our park be Spring Park as our permanent place.
they recomended we park on the west side so we don't interfere with the baseball, which is awesome since we had no intention of parking elsewhere, the west side of spring park is where we'll play, perhaps migrating to the south or south west side of the park during the day for special games, etc.. but we have no intention of playing in the baseball field that's on the other side of the park, thus no parking issue. yay!Dragoon Strike First. I agree, the park was really pretty....and was the snake that popped outa quiets gear box....thatw as hilarious...the king of neutrality screaming like a girl.

Unfortunatly because Sams club sucks we will be cutting all of the meat before we cook it, so all hands available and willing to help would be much appreciated.
