Boulders - 2006/05/06 17:05 as proposed by the dor un avathar a gargoyle gets a boulder as a weapon but what specifically is a boulder? and does it have to be carried by two hands? When there is no light, there is dark;
When there is no dark, there is light;
When there is both dark and light, there is Bendu

Re:Boulders - 2006/05/07 08:47 because this question is specifically regarding an entry in the Dor, i can't technically give an official answer because hte dor isn't an official rulebook (yet).

however, boulders also appear in the hill giant entry in the core rules.

also, this is a quick answer after less than 5 minutes of research, so its not a final answer by any means.

boulders is an simply and old term that was never replaced. They are basically "Rocks" from the Projectile Weapons section. they must be 1 ft in diameter, can be thrown with 1 or 2 hands, but if thrown with two hands they do two points to armor.

it should be noted that the Dor also lists "Improved Rocks" which are basiclaly just bigger and do 2pts normally, 3pts if thrown with two hands". those creatures which get it later in levels get boulders to begin with.
