Iron Dragon Finals & IMU - 2006/04/06 10:26
Greetings fellow Iron Mountaineers!
The Iron Dragon Finals are upon us!!
When: Saturday April 15th
Where: At the Imperial/Core Midreign camping event at Lake Pueblo
(Pueblo Resevoir) the midreign event is April 14,15,16
Iron Dragon pits teams of three (3) from across the empire in cultural
competition. Each team will get an identical box of goodies. From those
goodies they will have about three hours on site at Midreign to complete
as many culturals as you can. Each item in the box must be used at least
once.
Sectional winners from the Northern & Southern Iron Dragons will get an
advantage in the finals - they will be allowed to bring one tool with them to
use.

these tools must be approved by Sir Michael, please
email him at wjordan@amgen.com with the tool you'd
like to bring for approval, he reserves the right to
accept or decline the tool you want to use, so please
provide a list of a couple tools you have in mind
in case your first choice isn't allowed. This is to prevent anyone
from cheesing the rules and duct taping 8 tools together, etc..

the class will cover taking shots, shot locations, some
basic shots, legal and illegal shots, and what is considered an
in motion shot and what is not.

Since we are rapidly approaching the end of this month I thought I should
post a reminder that the IM Core Groups Midreign is rapidly approaching!
So, here is the information that we have thus far:
When: April 14th, 15th and 16th
Where: Lake Pueblo (Pueblo Resevoir)
We have reserved a nice camp area at the reservoir giving us plenty of
camping room with restrooms and running water available on site.
Better still, there is a field in the center of the camping areas that is
perfect for ditching and plenty of room around the sites for battlegames!
The cost for the event is $8.00 per person.
Please be advised that the state parks system charges $5.00
per vehicle per day (sunday doesnt count) so please pack your
vehicles well. I am currently trying to arrange with a local liquer
store to allow us to park extra vehicles there so we dont incur the
charges.
So, the plan thus far is:
Friday free for all - nothing scheduled but ditching and the other Amtgard
activities associated with a campout.
Saturday - Breakfast will be provided for those interested by your
benevolent Emperor and members of Crimson Dawn.
There will be a kids quest for those not yet old enough to fight in normal
Amtgard events. Plenty of ditching and a few games on the side with a
demo game of Amt-ball by members of CD.
There will like be a tourney to fight in as well, though I am not sure if it
will be a plunder tourney or not. Court feast will be provided by the
House of Doom! The fair is to be a luau style pork with pineapple, onions
and peppers. Anyone with special dietary needs please let us know as soon
as possible.
Sunday - Ditching again and heading home.
