Garb question - 2006/03/28 21:27 is a quiver consider garb or equipment? and if it's equipment does it count if it's hit as a torso shot? When there is no light, there is dark;
When there is no dark, there is light;
When there is both dark and light, there is Bendu

Re:Garb question - 2006/03/29 07:21 if the quiver blocks a shot that would have hit you then the hit counts
against you where it would have hit,

ie - your back is to me, your quiver is on your back, I throw a dagger at
your back, which hits the quiver, though would have hit your shoulder if
the quiver wasn't there,
that counts as a hit to the back/torso

let's say same situation but your quiver is over your arm and back,
I throw and the dagger would have hit your arm, but the quiver or some
arrow fletchings block it - that's a hit to the arm
it's best in these situations to ask the archer or whoever hit you where
you got hit, etc..

know let's say you're standing parallel to me, I see your right side,
so I can see the right side of your face, your right arm, your right leg, etc..

I shoot an arrow that hits your quiver that's on your back, but if your
quiver wasn't there it would have flown past you missing you.
in that situation you are fine, nothing happens to your quiver or you.

Re:Garb question - 2006/04/04 16:52 ok then my next question how does this pertain to loose garb iwas informed on loose garb if an arrow or throwie hits the garb and deflects or stops it's a legal shot but if it would normally miss does it count? When there is no light, there is dark;
When there is no dark, there is light;
When there is both dark and light, there is Bendu

Re:Garb question - 2006/04/04 18:35 think of it this way... if the garb stopped the shot from hitting something else, then it counts as if it hit that something else. however, if all it hit was garb and it would not have hit anything else, then it doesn't count as a hit to anything else.

case in point... big poofy sleeves. if soemthing hits the sleeves but would not have conencted with naything else. but... as happened to me the other day, the shot got tangled in the sleeve and didn't actually connect with anything that was a legal target. but had the sleeve not been there it would have continued on to hit me i nthe chest. i took the death.

Re:Garb question - 2006/04/04 18:43 its too easy to sluff a shot without anyone noticing when that happens so if you must wear loose garb( cumbersome and not tacticle) i suggest keeping as honest as possible. i personally would suggest that you refrain from wearing such garb as it will most likely get in your way and impede on certain things when fighting.(like shooting a bow n' such) I'm the mighty Lion in the thicket who be spying on the wicked- Shabaz the Diciple
