CoM - PROPOSAL: Rules Revision Organizer Position - 2008/07/02 16:23
(Proposal placed before the Circle of Monarchs for a vote at Clan. This is your chance to give feedback.)
Proposal to create a new position of Rules Organizer in direct service to the Circle of Monarchs for the purpose of assisting them with, and advising them on, the rules revision process.
I. The position shall be elected by simple majority of the Circle of Monarchs in the 60 days before Clan every two years.
................A: An outgoing Rules Organizer will perform his duties for the current revision cycle
................B. An outgoing Rules Organizer must collaborate with the incoming Organizer during the final execution of his duties to ensure a smooth transition and training period.
................C. The incoming Rules Organizer will take charge of the Rules Revision process immediately after the final release of the errata or rulebook revision that he is collaborating on with the outgoing Organizer.
II. The Organizer serves at the will of the Circle of Monarchs, and may be removed before the expiration of his term with a 3/4ths majority vote by the Circle of Monarchs.
III. The Rules Organizer has no standing in order of precedence in any kingdom or with settling rules disputes.
IV. Duties of the Rules Organizer are as follows
................A: Organize the Rules Representatives from each kingdom on the official Amtgard Rules forum
................B: Keep an accurate list of who the Rules Representatives are for each kingdom and update access to the forum as necessary
................C: Ensure that the Rules Representatives turn in quality, actionable items for the rules revision process in a timely manner before Clan
................D: Maintain quality control on all items submitted by Rules Representatives and remove items that cannot be made to be actionable or appropriate
................E: Write a summary for each proposed change/revision, the reasoning behind it, and evaluate its potential impact on the rules. The summary is to be presented to the CoM 60 days before Clan so that they make gather consensus and make informed decisions.
................F: Be present at the Rules Revision CoM meeting to answer questions and offer a knowledgeable, well-reasoned and unbiased viewpoint for Rules Revision items.
................G: Execute changes/revisions to the rulebook and issue a new .pdf as per the Rules Revision process
