Nihao, monkeys!
I’m back, and it’s time to get serious about goofing off at Amtgard. I had a great time a spring war, met some really interesting people (including Ursa, a really cool guy, if a little bit serious), and tried to convince the rest of Amtgard that I am reformed. For some reason, they don’t believe me.
This weekend is weaponmaster/dragonmaster at Dark Moon. Remember, dragonmaster is only on Saturday, but weaponmaster is both Saturday and Sunday and we’ll include non-standard lists. Just to let all you wanna-be warlords know, seeing as how this is a serious deviation from our standard operating procedures, I will not be awarding anything for this tourney, so if you are not showing up to just enjoy playing…
…show up anyway as I will probably need reeves, and neither day should take very long tourney-wise. And the ditching will be entertaining as hell.
Saturday’s lists will be:
Traditional Florentine (one sword, long or short, and one dagger)
Non-polearm great weapon (great swords, giant hammers, etc…)
Flail and shield
Sunday’s lists will be:
Single melee
Strap madu (I admit, I look forward to that one—remember how it fits the theme by being a weapon based on Dynasty Warriors’ {# 5} Cao Ren?)
Dance-off, because you’ve just been served… by Cruz
(Ok, that one was a joke)
Open weapon
I don’t know if Cullum still needs judges, but if he does, you could do a really nice thing and offer to help him out. That would be pretty fucking nice of you.
Midreign is right around the corner, please come and get beat… um, please come and fight IMD that day, I will try to run a special theme game that day. Remember when I said that the core park (plus Trinidad) that participates the most in being silly and promoting my theme during my reign gets their gate fee at rakis knocked down to ten bucks?
I haven’t forgotten.
Plus, even if I can’t be entertaining at court, I will still be brief. I will try and set a speed record at either this court or at rakis.
Talisin ( <---- hater) claims that it’s a disrespectful thing, but I just really hate court…

We’ll put people up who need places to stay, and if you want, we’ll even find some place to hang out and party afterwards.

Good fighting, good food, good people and hanging out with the celestial badass big cheese his own self? I’d buy that for a dollar! (Adjusting for inflation first, of course)
Oh yeah, and salt wars is on the way, followed by rakis. Go to both or be banished to the he11 of being stuck in an elevator with a sweating fat guy while listening to Shakira Muzak.
Now, let’s see if I can fix that rip in my court garb I got after one wearing. Sewing is better left for other people, really.
