imperial weekend report! - 2008/01/15 00:53
nǐhǎo, bitches (that's mandarin for "hi, bitches)!
saturday in IMD, some brave, fun-loving and unforgivably ugly adventurers fought a dastardly, evil, handsome, charming troll who was terrorizing the wei kingdom. a good time was had by all, except the troll, who got the hell beat out of him... poor guy.
of particular note are some of the 'garders who showed up:
rewth brought a groovy little hammer which has earned the official emperor z stamp of approval. "keep making shit like that." says his imperial badassness--and that's a direct quote.
T, (her actual amt-name the emperor, may he live forever, doesn't think he honestly knows) went and got all us sweaty fighters some water. you don't know how much that meant to us, really.
atlas endeared himself to Ourself by bringing a box full of useful stuff like loaner armor and *gasp* class sashes for everyone (this is something you wei people need to work on, btw) and a bow and miscellaneous class crud. somebody remind me to give him a (whatever the appropriate award is) if and when i can, he's part of the reason saturday went so well.
and last, I'd like to thank folcwine for getting into the spirit of the thing by deciding he was going to play as cao ren (pronounced tsow as in how, ren as in "Steeempy! you eeediot.") point of note: he built that damn strap madu after playing dynasty warriors 5, a game extreeeeemly loosely based on the three kingdoms era. in that game, cao ren uses a strap madu-like weapon. this is the kind of thing our imperial worshipfulness is looking for, gang. i'd give folcwine a hero tunic right now if i didn't hate that preening fucker so goddamned much (his mom is a dirty whore, too). nah, just kidding, he's not getting a hero tunic because he's related to me, i'm sad to admit.

anyway, this weekend is the yellow turban rebellion in the wu kingdom (DM for those of you not paying attention).
it will be a "general capture" game (as in capturing generals). we'll explain more on the day.
