Directions to trinidad colorado welcoming center from the north.

1. Head south on I-25 S
2. Take exit 14B toward Trinidad State Jr College

3. Merge onto E Colorado Ave

4. Turn left at Nevada Ave

From the south

1. Head north on I-25 N

2. Take exit 13B for Main St

3. Slight right at W Main St

4. Take the 1st left

5. Continue straight onto Nevada Ave

From the Trinidad Colorado welcoming center take hwy 12 west to longs canyon rd.(county rd 18.3) about 10 miles west of trinidad.You will drive past Trinidad lake state park and Coke dale.The road is well mark on the hwy. Turn left on Longs canyon road(county rd 18.3) and proceed across the bridge. The road goes from pavement to good compact dirt road. Look for the signs that will lead you to the sight. The sight is about 7 miles from hwy 12. Kota Bloodmoore

Directions: from the colorado welcoming center go west on hwy 12 about ten miles.you will pass trinidad lake and cokedale. turn left onto Longs Canyon road(cr18.3).It is well marked and the is a big ass bridge.The site is about seven mile from hwy 12. look for the signs. They will be placed ever 1/2 mile and pointers at the intersections.

Notes/site info: you will have to drive on some dirt roads. they are hard packed service roads. Dogs are welcome. leashes are a good idea. police your trash. its private property please respect the site. bug spray use it. the area has a small creek and many meadows. the only hills are on the drive in(hannibles Saturn had no trouble). Oso canyon is 1/2 mile long and flat. there is parking at the central area.
