 New in Town - 2008/06/11 06:31 Greetings all,

I am new to the Colorado Springs and Fort Carson area. I have just got here from Texas, and was playing at the Duchy of Murkywaters before I moved here. I didnt get to play alot due to family and the military, and am looking forward to getting back into Amtgard. I had a couple of questions, and any help given is greatly appreciated.

1) As far as classes, are any frowned upon by Darkmoon members? i was playing a Bard at Murkywaters and would like to get back into it. Just wanting to make sure no one will look bad upon me for it.

2) What is the best places around Colorado Springs to get weapon making materials? I wasnt able to have any of my equipment shipped as I didnt get it from my friends before I left and then they got into it. So I am starting from the ground up.

As for your questions...

1) Nothing is looked down upon, play whatever you want... currently we have a bunch of people leveling Bard right now so if you want to join in on the reindeer games be my guest...



2)

On Cores:

Colorado as a whole has a lot of golf courses, if you're looking for Graphite check by some driving ranges, you could also check out some golf shops as well... they might have some. Thrift stores might have some as well...

If you're looking for Kite Spar the only place that you can grab it is Colorado Kite and Ski from what I know.

I have not seen too much Bamboo in this area


On Foam:

If you're looking to make a shield there is a thread here on the forums from Kord he tends to be the supplier of shield blanks.

Currently I know Wal-Mart is stocking FunNoodle Brand Noodle, I believe Toys R Us might have some as well... Kord also donated a shit load to the Empire as well I do believe.

There is a bunch of us looking into MC... however currently I know of no place to get it...

 Re:New in Town - 2008/06/18 20:06 welcome to darkmoon! don't worry about popular or unpopular classes, just come out and have fun. also don't worry about gathering supplies right away. there's usually a lot of loaner stuff available.
