Sword Classification - 2006/11/14 03:42 I know that besides round and flat blade and the various lengths, there seem to be other classifications of blades. A wrap I am pretty sure is a core wrapped in camp foam, which creates a large Q-tip looking sword. I've heard the term J class used before and I was curious as to what makes an "Old J class sword". -Back from the Dead with a Vengeance-

Re:Sword Classification - 2006/11/14 03:50 Wrap generally refers to shots, though you can make a round blade with wrap tech, 1 single piece of thin foam that is rolled/wraped around the core until it gets thick enough, or using layers of blue foam to spiral wrap up and down the core.

I have never heard of J tech though.

Re:Sword Classification - 2006/11/14 03:59 Might just be a curved PVC sword, I've made a few of those before. Kinda good for getting around shields or parrying, but you can pretty much do that with any other sword (when taught how to do so properly). Pain is only an illusion of the mind. Re:Sword Classification - 2006/11/14 14:24 there is a "J hook" shot... its shaped like a J, and tends to land in your jimmy or your junk.... "But right now I'm a little concerned about my pants, since I don't know where they are." - Valathina Nailo

Re:Sword Classification - 2006/11/18 23:44 Ok, I managed to remember to ask Jalea about a J class weapon. A J class is a sword with a PVC pipe core, built up with pipe insulation and then wrapped in camp pad. -Back from the Dead with a Vengeance-

Re:Sword Classification - 2006/11/20 15:32 That's got to be a reference to another game system.
